This full day tour will take you to see one of the most beautiful areas in Costa Rica, La Fortuna de San Carlos, where Arenal Volcano is located. You will enjoy hot springs, nature, and learning about some Costa Rican history and lifestyle.
The tour begins with a 3 ½ hour drive on a route where you can see views of the cloud and rain forest, waterfalls, and the beauty of typical Costa Rican rural life. You will also see a vast array of vegetation, picturesque landscapes full of Costa Rican agricultural products, and dairy farms in the mountains where most of the local people make a living from these activities.
Along the way you will make a stop in San Ramon, here you will be able to enjoy a typical Costa Rican breakfast. After you eat you will go to the butterfly garden to see a beautiful display of flowers, butterflies, birds and other wildlife.
Next, your journey takes you to La Fortuna where you will have a typical Costa Rican lunch at the local soda. After lunch, we continue on to see Lake Arenal, here the tour guide will tell you about some of the history of this man made lake and the importance of it to Costa Rica.
Then, we will drive to the resort area where you will spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing in the natural hot springs. Here you will find 25 thermal pools, a 60 person jacuzzi, extreme waterslides, sauna, wet bars and a spa surrounded by nature. The perfect way to unwind, and refresh your soul.
Around 5pm you will go to dinner at a beautiful restaurant that offers several delicious meal choices to indulge in.
After dinner it’s time go back to the Jaco Beach area. You will arrive back at your hotel around 10:00 pm.
